1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SecureCode ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

2. Description of Service

SecureCode provides an advanced AI-powered security scanning service. Our pipeline integrates static analysis with large language models to provide:

  • Multi-Layer Verification: Sequential analysis using Semgrep (rules), Scout AI (pattern analysis), and Juror AI (contextual verification).
  • Fixer: Automated patch generation with adversarial testing against 6 common bypass techniques.
  • Confidence Scoring: Probability-based scoring for vulnerability existence and fix reliability.
  • Reporting, analytics, and VS Code IDE integration.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

To use verified scanning features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate information and maintain its accuracy.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Ensuring your account is not shared with others

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Subscription Plans

SecureCode offers various subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees.

4.2 Billing and Payments

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
  • Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or specified in our refund policy

4.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our pricing. For existing subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days' notice. Founding members maintain their discounted pricing where applicable.

4.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service to scan, analyze, and generate fixes for code that you own or have explicit permission to modify. You are permitted to use the "Fixer" feature to patch vulnerabilities identified by the Service.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service to scan code you do not have rights to access
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the AI models or prompt injection attacks ("jailbreaking")
  • Use the Service to develop competing products or services
  • Circumvent any security features or usage limitations
  • Use automated systems (bots) to access the API excessively without authorization
  • Upload malicious code designed to compromise the Service infrastructure

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Your Code

You retain all ownership rights to the code you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your code solely for providing the Service (verification and fix generation). We DO NOT claim ownership over the code you write or the fixes we generate for you.

6.2 Our Service

The Service, including its algorithms, AI orchestration logic, and "SecureCode" branding, remains our property.

6.3 Scan Results and Fixes

You own the scan results, reports, and generated code patches ("fixes") provided by the Service.

7. Service Availability and Modifications

7.1 Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance or upstream AI provider outages (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) may temporarily affect service.

7.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify the Service at any time.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 Service Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE.

8.2 Security Analysis & AI Disclaimer

Verification Accuracy: While our multi-layer approach significantly reduces false positives, no automated tool can guarantee 100% accuracy. You are responsible for final code review.

AI Generated Fixes: Code patches generated by our "Fixer" feature are suggestions. While we text them against bypass techniques, YOU MUST REVIEW AND TEST ALL AUTOMATED FIXES BEFORE DEPLOYMENT. We are not liable for bugs or security issues introduced by applying AI-generated code.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECURECODE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Security breaches resulting from undetected vulnerabilities
  • Damages exceeding the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SecureCode and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services, websites, or applications. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of service of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Egypt, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of fees
  • At our sole discretion

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SecureCode regarding the Service.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
